Getting Here

The nearest major airport is the San Diego International Airport which is located 2 miles from the base and services all domestic and international flights. Taxi service is available from the airport. Military personnel are also encouraged to visit the USO in Terminal 2 to obtain discounted shuttle service to the base. If military personnel arrive after 11 p.m., go to the Shuttle Island and ask for the Cloud 9 shuttle which offers a discounted military rate.

If arriving by car. Take I-15 South to the Main Street exit toward Harbor Drive. Take the exit on the left toward Harbor Drive. Merge onto S. 32nd Street and proceed to the Main Gate of Naval Base San Diego.

Military personnel who need temporary lodging should call the Navy or Marine Corps Lodge at 1-800-NAVY-INN for reservations.
